Thanksgiving 2009

Thanksgiving was a wonderful celebration of our gratitude for all that we have been blessed with. Our Noida elders came and were joined by Dr Ryder and Menesha, our friends who are not church members, to enjoy the feast that Sister Tanner prepared. Right after we were all seated around the table, we each took the opportunity to express what we were thankful for. It was a touching and heart warming sharing experience.

Basting our faux turkey. This was actually a 5.2 kilo (10+ lbs) chicken obtained by Dr Ryder for us. He brought it the day before, still warm and mostly plucked with the head still on. You'll have to get Sister Tanner to tell the rest of the story. It's a good one.

The interesting thing was that the faux turkey actually tasted like turkey.

A couple of movies and one may surprise you, or not, depending upon how well you know Sister Tanner.
